Anthony McCarthy and Billie Sue McCarthy are father-daughter owners and managers of McCarthy Concrete. They have been working together for over a decade, growing MC from a small start-up to one of the most respected concrete companies in Connecticut with over 100 employees.

Billie Sue is the administrative executive of MC; her management includes all aspects of the business, including all financials, project management, human resources and legal; she came up through the industry working in the field with Benjamin and bidding projects with Anthony. Billie Sue lived in Costa Rica during the fall of 2010, embedding herself in the culture and inner workings of Nosara. 

Anthony has been working in construction since 1973 and has a long history of entrepreneurship and business experience in many different genres, from construction to retail. He started McCarthy concrete with Benjamin and his wife in 2002, and it is now a $10 million a year corporation.

Over the last several years, Anthony helped his friends in Costa Rica with their start-up, giving him "boots on the ground" business experience in Nosara, from labor force management to importing/exporting.  Anthony created the business model and projections for Lucy, so he intimately understands the details and what it will take to bring this project to fruition.
